Accommodations: Assisting Students with Disabilities
This session will help parents and families learn how accommodations meet the varied learning needs of students with disabilities. Accommodations are changes that can be made to the way students are expected to learn and demonstrate what they have learned. When appropriate accommodations are made, expectations for what students will learn do not have to change. In most cases, students with disabilities can achieve the same outcomes as other students in the class. We will be discussing the 4 areas of accommodations as well as examples of each.
Assisting Children with Challenging Behavior
This is an introduction on the fundamentals of behavior and reasons why children exhibit challenging behaviors. We will discuss some proactive and positive strategies that you can implement immediately.

We will be discussing some tips and tricks to assist learners at home with study strategies and assisting with homework completion.
